Donna Fanyak is a self-taught artist specializing in western art, as well as, domestic animal and wildlife designs. Her interest in western and equine art started over 40 years ago when she started selling her custom-design orders on consignment and at local horse shows and craft fairs. This informal, but deliberate, approach quickly made her work a household name, and it was soon after that, that her artwork was sought by admirers worldwide.
Donna has come a long way since then. She has won accolades from many different sources, some of which include her design that appears on the 1989 Montana Cancellation Stamp for the Centennial, the Custer County Logo for Montana, and the historical hanging tree monument in Roundup, Montana.
Donna’s most requested work is custom-designed acrylic paintings. Although acrylic artwork is the most popularly-ordered medium, she also has extensive experience working with oils, charcoal and pastels. Thankfully, her talents do not end there. With a steady hand, she has also etched a line of glassware and a series of metal utensils merely using a dremel tool.
Donna’s work is displayed in stores and homes nationwide. Here you would find her original paintings, custom woodwork, cutting boards, glass etchings, t-shirts and Christmas bulbs ~ among other special-order items.
Donna lives, eats, and breathes horses and her love and passion for these majestic animals radiates through her artwork. If you drive by her Montana ranch, you will often catch her sharing an intimate moment with one her beloved Appaloosas. These beautiful animals are the inspiration for her artwork.
Extraordinary in detail, Donna’s horse paintings are larger than life, capturing an image of your beloved equine for many years to come.
